AFTER
Same cleaner, same week
Most people don’t leave a window cleaner because of the clean. They leave because the cleaner stopped turning up. You get a fixed 6- or 12-weekly slot and the same person every visit, not a rotating subcontractor from a national booking platform, and not someone who quietly drops your road when it gets busy.
Rounds run on a set day across Saffron Walden, Newport, Stansted Mountfitchet, Henham and the surrounding Uttlesford villages, so your clean lands in the same week each cycle. If weather stops a visit it moves to the next dry day. It doesn’t vanish off the round. Need to skip one? Message us directly; there’s no call centre in the way. Greg has been cleaning windows round here since 2022, and Ascent Exterior Cleaning has been running since 2024. Every job is still done by him, not a subcontractor.
Frames, sills and glass
A quick pass over the glass looks fine for about a week. Dirt and algae sit on uPVC frames and stone sills as much as they do on the glass, and cleaning all three is the difference between “done” and actually clean. Every clean here includes the frames, the sills and the glass as standard. It isn’t an upgrade.
We use a reach-and-wash pole fed with 100% purified water. Filtering out the minerals is what stops the spotting: the brush lifts the dirt, the pure water rinses it, and the glass dries clear with nothing left behind. No detergent film, no smears. It also means no ladder leaning against your guttering, which matters on upper floors and conservatory roofs. Conservatory glass and skylights are cleaned the same way, and gutter cleaning or a fascia and soffit wash can go on the same visit rather than a separate trip. Offices and shops get the same pole and the same schedule: see commercial window cleaning in Saffron Walden. How often is often enough? We answered that in how often windows should be cleaned. Everything else we clean sits on the services page.
A text the night before
The most common complaint about window cleaners isn’t price or quality. it’s never knowing when they’re coming. You get a message the evening before every visit, so you can unlock the side gate, move the car off the drive, or just know not to hang the washing out. No unexpected knock, no invoice pushed through the door from someone you didn’t know had been.
You don’t need to be in. If we can reach the back safely we’ll clean and text you when it’s finished, and payment is by bank transfer afterwards rather than up front. We’re based in Henham and fully insured for working at height. A newer business earning its reputation rather than claiming one.

Reasonable price. Had the fascias and soffits cleaned and the house looks brand new. Great job on the windows also.

Common Questions
Most UK window cleaners charge £15–£40 a visit for a standard home. Ours start at £15 for a 2–3 bed and £20 for 4-bed+, exterior only, with frames and sills included. Skylights, conservatories and extensions are priced per job, and first cleans or one-offs are priced at 2x while built-up grime comes off. The price is agreed before we start, and it doesn't change after.
Every 6 weeks keeps most homes consistently clear. We also run 12-weekly rounds for quieter, sheltered properties. Homes near trees, busy roads or open fields show dirt faster and suit the shorter cycle.
Cleaning with water filtered to remove every dissolved mineral, fed up a reach-and-wash pole to a soft brush. The brush lifts the dirt, the pure water rinses it, and the glass dries spot-free with no detergent film, and no ladder against your gutters. It's how we clean every home, conservatory roofs and skylights included.
Light rain doesn't affect a pure-water clean. The water on your glass is purer than the rain, so it still dries clear. In genuinely bad weather your visit moves to the next dry day rather than dropping off the round.
A professional pure-water clean covers the frames, sills and upper-floor glass safely from the ground and stays clear for weeks. At £15–20 a visit on a regular round, most customers keep it for the consistency. The windows are simply always clean.
Some clean glass only. We include uPVC frames and stone sills on every visit as standard. Dirt and algae sit on all three, and a glass-only clean looks right for about a week.
No. If we can reach the back safely we'll clean while you're out, text you when it's finished, and you pay by bank transfer afterwards. You'll get a message the night before, so you can unlock a side gate or move the car.

No, and please don’t feel you have to. The price we quote is the price, and it already pays for the job properly. A Google review is worth more to us than a tip, if you feel like leaving one.
A pure water pole. Tap water leaves the minerals behind when it dries, which is what spots the glass. We filter them out first, so the water dries clear with nothing left on the pane. Frames and sills get the same treatment.
Depends what you care about. If the glass is only mildly dusty, no. If you have got sills going green, frames streaking, or a first floor you cannot safely reach, then yes, and it costs £15 to £20 a visit for most houses here.
It is exterior windows, frames and sills, cleaned from the ground with a pure water pole. Conservatory glass and skylights we can reach are included. No ladders leaning on the house, no detergent film.
